Each review process follows a gateway system:
- Gateways 1 & 2 look for alignment with the standards and the incorporation of the shifts
- Gateway 3 includes indicators around instructional supports and usability
If materials MEET or PARTIALLY MEET the requirements identified in Gateway 1, they will go on to be reviewed through Gateway 2. Materials that DO NOT MEET the requirements identified in Gateway 1 are NOT reviewed through Gateway 2 nor Gateway 3. Materials that MEET the requirements of both Gateways 1 and 2 are reported through Gateway 3.
